Bobbi came to work at the City of Ellsworth during COVID in 2020 and she controlled persons entering the building along with providing assistance to the City Clerk’s Office, General Assistance and Voter Registration, which required a great deal of customer service, patience, confidentiality with personal information and project coordination. After this position was concluded in 2021 the Code Enforcement Office had an opening for an Assistant in the Code Enforcement Office to assist both the Code Enforcement Officer (Dwight Tilton) and the Deputy Code Enforcement Officer (Loretta Roberts). Not long after her arrival, Mr. Tilton was due to retire and Bobbi worked diligently to learn all aspects of Code Enforcement and became certified in the Commercial and Residential Building Codes, Internal Plumbing Code, Subsurface Wastewater Disposal, Commercial and Residential Electrical, Health Officer, Shoreland Zoning. As my position was elevated to Interim Code Enforcement Officer and then to Code Enforcement Officer, Bobbi was promoted to the Deputy Code Enforcement Officer Position. It was without hesitation that I promoted her to the Deputy Code Enforcement Officer position after working with her in all capacities of Code Enforcement including customer service assisting property owners and contractors, office management issuing permits, monthly financial reporting, working closely with the Planning and Economic Development Offices on new projects coming to the City. As her supervisor, I have never worked with anyone that is more conscientious, always willing to learn and to better herself! Bobbi is forever working to improve the customer experience and always make sure she has fulfilled any needs they may have!
Bobbi Roberts is kind, ethical and sincerely committed to providing excellent customer service! I had the pleasure of working with her in a large event setting and she was a ray of sunshine and an absolute joy to work with! If only I could give her more stars...
